AUTHOR INTERVIEW & ESSAY FROM ADAM COSCO

Check out this week's special author interview with best-selling and award-winning author Adam Cosco. He approached Uncomfortably Dark for a review request for his new novel THE DREAM KILLER and also offered a guest post detailing how he got the idea for it.

There is also a short interview with Adam on his novel, his writing, and his thoughts on current trends in the industry.

About THE DREAM KILLER:

The Dream Killer is a cerebral body horror novel that blends psychological dread with a surreal, dream-logic structure. It centers on a man haunted by recurring nightmares of murder, only to discover those murders are happening in the real world, suggesting he may not be the person he thinks he is.

CREEPY Podcast

Creepy is one of my favorite horror fiction podcasts, having been a long-time listener long before I started my writing career. You can listen free, get bonus episodes by becoming a Patreon, get cool merch, and submit stories directly to them to be narrated if you are an author. I do know they are currently looking for female & nonbinary led stories to balance out their upcoming season, but they do accept stories from everyone, from all walks of life.

Creepy is one of my Top Five Favorite podcasts to listen to. Get all the details on listening, subscribing, or submitting at the link below!

KNIFEPOINT HORROR

I occasionally need to mention this podcast, as this is my number 1 favorite horror fiction podcast. The stories are generally written, narrated, and produced by one man by the name of Soren Narnia. In recent years, he's added a few longer stories with full cast and audio production, but most of the stories are simply him and his microphone.

Imagine your favorite uncle standing in front of the campfire or pulling up the rocking chair on the front porch on a quiet summer night, the sound of crickets in the air, stars above you, and the most soothing voice you ever heard, telling you a story creepy enough to send shivers up your spine. I listen to this podcast on repeat to go to sleep at night. I listen to it while I work or while I walk. There is just something so perfect about his delivery, about the stories themselves, and yes, his voice, that I have yet to find anything to top it, for a fiction telling podcast.

There is a Patreon to support Soren, but you can also listen free. Stories are produced roughly once a month, but the Patreon folks do get a few bonus episodes and early access.

THE NO SLEEP PODCAST

Also, on my Top Five list for horror fiction podcasts, The No Sleep Podcast has been on my daily rotation since 2014. This is a fully produced story podcast with full cast, special effects, and music to deliver well-balanced stories that will keep you up at night staring at that shadow in the corner. They do take story submissions, and I know several indie authors that have been featured on the show.

There is a free option, which delivers roughly an hour of stories to your podcast app every week as well as on option to subscribe which gets you more than two hours of stories a week, plus bonus episodes.

Check them out below and get the details on listening, subscribing, supporting or submitting, you won't regret it.
