Book three is here! And it is amazing! This series just keeps getting better and better with each book. This one is gripping from page one and takes you on a hellacious ride until the end.

 

Gothic Horror is one of my favorite subgenres, and now that book three dives even deeper into the atmosphere from all the world-building that’s been done and continues to happen, you very clearly realize that Alleva has managed to curate an awesome Gothic horror… but make it more modern. And he executed it beautifully. I hope that makes sense, as if I explain too much, there will be plot spoilers. So, I need people to trust me on this one, lol!

 

I love how book three dives deeper into some of the different elements. It definitely takes on demonic possession in a huge way. Romance is still around. It’s brutal but enchanting. It takes readers on an emotional journey. At times I was sad, at times I was thrilled, other times I was madder than hell, and quite a few times I was creeped out!!

 

Another thing I would like to praise this story about is the romance factor. I typically wouldn’t say that about a horror book, but when you have cosmic events, demonic possession, Sleepy Hollow, and a forbidden/cursed love… You can imagine that some chaotic and unhinged horrors take place throughout.

 

I think it’s safe to say that book three is my favorite so far. I think the main reason is that it is REALLY deep into the overall story, and I REALLY loved how it keeps progressing both in plot and how gripping it is. Evil takes over in a big way with this book, and I cannot wait to read book four and find out how it all ends.
