Welcome to Latham's Last Words, where I give you my last words on books I've enjoyed. It's Black History Month so it's the perfect time to talk about a collection of horror stories by Aseera.
Loved this collection of short stories! Fast paced page turners you get hooked right away. Most of the stories have a twist that'll leave you speechless.
Unpretty
Body horror of the most gruesome kind. I wish this had been longer. What a way to start out the book!
Good Morning Beautiful
Revenge bloody and brutal, but definitely deserved. Shad reminded me of someone I knew. And I'm not gonna lie, this story had me definitely rooting for Corie.
Sins of the Mother
Another story of revenge, this one was kind of sad. Especially the ending. I couldn't blame Ms H at all for what she did.
Release Day
I'm going to have to say this one was my favorite. 300 meets Running Man in a battle of survival between inmates and illegal immigrants set up by a corrupt government.
Bestie
Some good old fashioned cult horror with a woman who won't go down without a fight.
I very much like this author's writing style and will certainly be reading more of her work!
