BURY YOUR GAYS

By: Chuck Tingle

Normally I shy away from over hyped books, the few times I've followed the crowd I've been disappointed. But not with this book. This book grabbed my throat and wouldn't let go until the very last sentence.

There are so many subgenres of horror represented in the story. Cosmic horror, creatures, aliens, psychological horror, technological horror, supernatural horror all wrapped up in a shiny rainbow queer horror package.

There's bloody scenes that'll make you squirm.

There's a scene that reminded me of the head with the legs in The Thing. The creature in The Thing was the scariest part of the movie for me and I had flashbacks of seeing it for the first time as a child.

It's a story of a gay man who isn't completely "out" and how he realizes that by hiding that part of himself he's doing more harm than good, to his relationship with his partner and himself. It's the terrifying journey he takes to get to a place where his joy is all that matters.

Read this book. Read it now.

"On a long enough timeline, endings are inevitable.

Tragedy is inevitable.

Fortunately, so is joy."
