Trigger Warning: Abortion (if that's even necessay... the title and cover kind of speak for themselves.)

"It was alive, confused, and pissed! It could not understand why it was violently separated from its host and left to rot. Following an undeniable call to pursue the one who abandoned it and seek revenge, the quest for retribution had begun. And nothing or no one would stand in the way."

I wasn't sure what to think going into this one, and I realize in hindsight, that was the best way to be. This isn't your conventional cozy horror. This is the story of an aborted fetus who finds itself in the dumpster behind an abortion clinic.

It's not your average "aborted fetus who finds itself in the dumpster behind an abortion clinic" either.

Rowland Bercy Jr. has an amazing way with words which is evident in every single one of his stories. I am a major a fan of this man's work, and I look forward to everything he puts out. He is a master of short stories, and this novella is no exception. The way he writes the internal thoughts of the reanimated fetus is quite amazing, to be honest. I don't know anyone else who could pull this off.

If you're hesitant to dive in, I assure you, it's really not as off-putting as it may seem. You have to read it to get what I mean, but once you do, you will. Although I can't speak for everyone, the people I know who have read this horrific little tale, have all loved it!

You know me and endings and this one was as much a shock as it was fitting! Without giving anything away, I suspect you won’t see the ending coming. I sure didn't.

Solid 4.5 for this delightful tale. And when I say delightful, I mean disgustingly disturbing and amazing.
