Today's breakdown is for the audiobook of "Baker's Dozen" by Uncomfortably Dark!
Christine Morgan kicked it off with a strong one that warns of the dangers of questioning one's nature before thy own.
Chris Miller next about a Karen and a Geist crossing paths that only spells disaster.
Ruth Ann Jagge followed with a brutal tale that will make you think twice about befriending a feline.
Jeff Strand grossed me out and then turned around and terrified me with his zany game show short.
Aaron Beauregard delivered a tale of trepidation and terror of an extraterrestrial nature.
Carver Pike brought a ridiculous one about sweet revenge. Not my favorite, but entertaining.
Patrick C. Harrison III wrote on that hit home for me as someone who recently lost their grandmother that was suffering dementia prior to her passing. He really put the disease into perspective.
Lee Franklin disgusted me with her descriptions as her character experiences a nightmare fishing trip and then some.
Kenzie Jennings was up next with a clever number about a local baker with a horrifying gift of disastrous proportions.
Daniel Volpe served up some sweet revenge after a senseless and savage attack occurred.
Rowland Bercy Jr. offered a frightening folktale that will make you look over your shoulder in the forest.
Candace Nola brought out a few chuckles, and a grin at the clever ending. A reminder of who the Queen is.
M. Ennenbach finished off this delicious assortment with a fun telling that followed Death as business is conducted in all manners of mayhem.
A fantastic collective of writers and dark minds. If you haven't read this one, treat yourself to a few helpings.
The audio portion was performed by Jamison Walker who always does a standout job of blending language, Horror and humor into deliveries of perfection.
5/5 stars.
