Today's breakdown is for the audiobook of "Trapped" by Uncomfortably Dark Horror:
Lee Murray began this one with a creepy poem that really set the pace for the rest.
Eric Butler did a gruesome bit about a town where terror is a circular pattern of bloody vengeance.
Jae Mazer followed and put us through a horrific storm with tragic consequences. Heavy content but written very well.Â
Steve Stred dropped in next with one that'll keep you guessing about what's going on and whom the identity of the victim is.
Daemon Manx let us know that addiction driven by guilt and karma play a deadly game when combined.
James G. Carlson brings a frightening piece about a psychopath who hunts those who don't evacuate during a natural disaster. He hurt my heart a little with this one, but it was very good.
Brian Asman let us see a portrait of childhood trauma and the guilt all parents feel when Bad things befall their children. Question is, how far is too far to rid yourself of what haunts you...
Tyler James spun a clever tale that I'm dubbing, "Affair From The Black Lagoon." Very enjoyable.
Regina Watts brought is along for a burglary attempt in an otherworldly home.
M. Ennenbach drops us into an abyss as he elegantly brings us through demise and rebirth.
River Dixon brings the devil home and reminds us that there are two ways to respond to despair. This one had a strong Christian tone to theme, and I thought it hit the nail on the head without being preachy. Kudos.
Rayne Havok makes two becoming one a very terrifying thing.
Nikolas P. Robinson closed it out with a nice little revenge tale suitable for a children's bedtime story... if your child's last name is Addams.
A creepy collection of wonderful minds, you won't be disappointed with this book.
The audio portion was performed by Jamison Walker once again and you can't go wrong with his narrations.
5/5 stars.
