BLACKOUT: Micropoetry

by Brian Bowyer

The first definition of romance is “a feeling of excitement and mystery associated with love,” but the second definition is “a feeling of excitement, mystery, and remoteness from everyday life,” such as the beauty and romance of the night.

This book’s theme is the second definition.

From Splatterpunk Award-nominated and Godless Award-winning horror author Brian Bowyer (Old Too Soon, Flesh Rehearsal, Autumn Gothic, and more) comes a collection of dark, romantic micropoetry that will keep you reading long into the night.

Praise for Brian Bowyer!

“Brian Bowyer is a modern master. Like Tarantino, if Tarantino had turned his hand to the blackest horror. Prose so sharp it cuts like a scalpel, and enough craziness to outcrazy an insane asylum!”— Joseph Sale, author of The Claw of Craving

"Powerful. That’s the only word I could find to describe this collection and even that doesn’t do it justice. I have never in my life devoured a literary work as quickly as I did with this one. Each poem evokes feelings hidden away in the pits of your memories. Bowyer took the beauty and darkness of the cosmos and found a way to put it into words." —Z. Martin, author of Tales From Chesterfield

"An absolutely stunning and surprisingly emotional collection of micro-poetry from horror author Brian Bowyer. I was honestly not expecting to be so moved by some of the beautiful phrases in this book, some of which I will never forget."— Jill Girardi, Owner, Kandisha Press

"Dark and evocative, Bowyer takes the reader through a year of delectable agony. Fantastic." - M Ennenbach, author of Cuckoo
