Happy Saturday!! I have another three reviews for three really amazing books for you today! Two are more on the extreme side, and then one of the best story collections I have ever read!

BUNNY ROOM
By Oscar Brady
"The box of rounds was dusty and probably too old to work which may explain my current predicament of the gun not doing its fucking job and killing me."
BUNNY ROOM is a prime example of why I love going into books blind. I had NO clue what this story was going to be about, and when I realized what bunnies were, and what they did to them… I was shocked, lol. This book was phenomenal! It was fast paced, heavy on the characters (which were done amazingly), and overall, the story was just done really well.
The body horror in this one is strong, and it’s brutal. Really brutal. I read quite a few pages with one hand covering my eyes and wincing throughout. This is quite a compliment, as I don’t have triggers and it’s pretty difficult to take me out. So, kudos on that.
Oh, and the ending? HOLY PLOT TWIST, BATMAN! The ending couldn’t have been more perfect for this story! Like I said before, this story is definitely on the extreme end. But I highly recommend it. This one will easily make my top 10 reads of 2025. If your stomach is strong, and you enjoy reading stories featuring deranged families alongside cannibalistic behavior, then head over to Godless or Amazon asap and get your hands on this one!

SHEEP'S CLOTHING
By Mike Harris
"She dry heaved one more time, then passed out on the floor. And as her breathing slowed, the redness around the wound faded. The stitches pushed themselves out, one by one, as her body sewed itself back together."
SHEEP’S CLOTHING is one of the best debuts I have read this year. This book was phenomenal and took a direction I didn’t expect but was in no way disappointed with. The FMC is an absolute girl boss in her own regard, and her character was done REALLY well. Not only is this story a bit on the extreme side, especially with the gore factor, it’s also quite smutty, which I know is often a big hit with readers looking for some smut written into their Splatter. Welp, this is the one!
As I said above, this is one of the best debuts I have read so far this year. I am extremely impressed with this book from cover to cover. Literally, the cover is beautiful. And it was done by Godless’s own, Drew Stepek. The second installment of this series comes out in October, and I am really looking forward to seeing where it goes. I am really looking forward to seeing where this author goes in general because I am now a huge fan of his writing style and would love to see more of it. This book is available on both Godless and Amazon, so go grab it now!

GORDON B. WHITE IS CREATING HAUNTING WEIRD HORROR(S)
By Gordon B. White
WOW! What an incredible collection of stories this is! I wish I could take each of them one by one because they were all really great.
This collection features 15 short stories, and there's a lot of range to be had which makes this a perfect collection for all horror lovers. White has a really unique and poetic-like way of telling stories which is an easy 10/10 for me. I can honestly say this is one of the most well-rounded collections I have read to date. This was actually my first time reading something by White, which is kind of embarrassing to admit given that he was a finalist for the Shirley Jackson and Bram Stoker Awards. There's only one other author I say is a genre of his own, but White's writing is definitely something to reckon with. And definitely one I will be binge reading more of asap.
Standout stories for me in this collection were:
ONE OF THE GOOD ONES (OR IT'S A GAS)
DANDELION SIX
GODHEAD
DEVIL TAKE ME
IN THE PINES
If there were a current collection I could implore you to go and grab, this would be it! It's available on Amazon, linked below! Please get your hands on it and enjoy it as much as I did.
