Happy Friday!!! I am thrilled to be back and bringing you all the spookiest locations I can find! This time around, I am taking it worldwide, so get ready!!! Today, I took a peek at La Moira House in Mexico City, and damn. It's creepy. ENJOY!!!
La Moira House
La Moira House is in Mexico City, Mexico. Many believe it’s the most haunted house in Mexico. At first glance, the all black exterior had me wondering how real this all was or if it was more of an aesthetic thing. Then I did some research, and boy oh boy, I spooked myself with this one!
The story behind this house is quite depressing on almost every level possible. It started with an 8-year-old boy named Marcus who discovered the house and decided to go in. As soon as he entered, he heard voices he could never explain. Somehow, he mustered up the courage and kept walking despite hearing ominous noises the moment he walked in.
Marcus made his way up the stairs to the second floor; there, he entered one of the bedrooms, and it was there that he saw an apparition of a man hanging from the ceiling. Dead.
He was so scared by this point that he ran out of the house, but the damage had been done and this all put Marcus in a really bad place mentally. He suffered severely from what he saw and the depression was overwhelming.
Ten years after entering the house for the first time and then becoming obsessed with the house alongside his plummeting mental health, Marcus decided to go back to that very room and commit the very act that he had witnessed. Marcus hung himself and died.
Many people believe that this young boy was possessed by what’s in the home that led to his ultimate demise, as no one can explain why a boy who witnessed such things would want to return to the scene. Some even say that the body he witnessed when he was 8, was his own and it was a prophecy. Either way, it’s most definitely tragic.
The house was open to the public for a long time, and many people would witness shadows, apparitions, and hear voices. Unfortunately, it’s no longer open to the public since it’s been purchased and used as a private residence.
*Please note that the boy is also referred to as Marco in many of the reports as well. Both are correct.
