It's Pride Month and I've gathered some interviews with some amazing LGBTQIA+ authors which I will be posting throughout the month.
Jason will always hold a special place in my heart, he took me to Bucc-ees for the very first time!

Tell us a little about yourself.
I'm a queer horror writer from West Virginia, where I live with my husband Jared and our three cats. I try to cover a range of horror styles with my writing, often involving queer characters. I've mostly worked in shorter fiction but have been trying my hand at longer works as of late.
How important do you think queer representation in horror is?
I think it's very important. Throughout history, horror was often queer coded, but in a more subtle way. Now, it doesn't need to be, and we can make our voices heard.
Tell us about your most recent release, or an upcoming release.
My most recent release is Towhead. It strays away from my splatter side and focuses more on supernatural horror. It was a bit of a challenge I put on myself to write something longer that focused more on being scary than being extreme. I like to think I succeeded. Kids are always creepy.
Which character you've created is your favorite and why?
Jasper. That book has been far from being one of my best sellers, but it means a lot to me. He's truly the first character I ever fleshed out that much, and he's an amalgamation of some of the funniest people I've known in my life.
