Eric Butler is one of indie horror's nicest authors and one of its best-kept secrets. His work is impeccable, well-written, gory in all the right places, action-packed, with rich characters, plenty of local lore, and enough blood to keep the most savage reader happy. Whether it's a short story, one of his collections, or a novel, Eric does horror well and he does creature features like he was born to do it.

Today, we have two reviews for Eric, and I encourage everyone to check out his full catalog at the link below. His range guarantees something for everyone, from slasher tropes and creature features to Victorian-era ghost stories and demonic possessed towns, you will find something new, something unusual, and something you didn't know you needed!

Don't know where to start? Try THE SHADOW WITHIN, The DONN, TX Series, or THE POPE LICK MONSTER books!

POPE LICK MASSACRE 2: SILLY RABBITS

by Eric Butler

My blurb below for SILLY RABBITS barely does the full story justice. This sequel to POPE LICK MASSACRE is everything that you could hope for from a sequel, except more. More blood, more gore, more characters, more action. The varying character arcs all come together in a final climactic rush that will keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

The Goatman is glorious in this storyline, creepier, scarier, and bloodier. Like my blurb says, you’ve never read Butler like this before.

“In this sequel to Pope Lick Massacre, Butler kicks murder and mayhem into high gear. Character-driven and action-packed, the blood flows like water straight through to the last page. You’ve never read Butler like this before.”

Donn, Tx 1978-Review

By Eric Butler

Eric Butler is one of the best kept secrets in horror today. If you are not reading him yet, please do yourself a favor and start. I can personally recommend any of his books but his Donn, Tx series is one of the best that I’ve read in a long time. Told through interconnected stories that can be read in any order, with each one leading to Donn, Tx, these stories teem with terror, emotion, and gore.

This story follows Jane, a rare survivor of Donn, in her attempt to hide a woman and her daughter from an abusive spouse. Add in several new souls fresh from the bus, drawn to Donn by the Pale Man, and hefty dose of the locals and you’re in for an adrenaline-fueled and blood-soaked harvest. Because in Donn, Tx, only the harvest matters.

Highly recommended!
