Happy Saturday! The three books today are three that I really struggled finding the right words for as I really wanted to do them the justice they deserved. I really hope I was able to pull that off! Let's see!

THE NIGHT CREW
By Brad Ricks
“Denial worked well, until I meandered over to Camp Depression. That camp was a bitch and didn't want to let go.”
NIGHT CREW blew me out of the water. To be fully transparent, the vampire trope isn’t something I usually seek out. But let me tell you, this story was phenomenal. Ricks told a story that will stay with me forever. The way he incorporated the stages of grief alongside an action-packed vampire tale filled with twists and turns made this a book I couldn’t put down, binge-reading it in just two sittings. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. It’s almost like Guardians of the Galaxy or one of those kinds of movies but set in a world fighting vampires. I hope that makes sense, because I’m genuinely struggling to find the right words to do this book justice.
This story relies heavily on characters and dialogue, but it’s also written in a way that makes it really easy to follow and keep everything and everyone straight. I highly recommend this book to all horror fans, and with the second book coming out next month, I truly think everyone should get their hands on it ASAP!
SYNOPSIS:
Vampires, vengeance, and a quest for survival—The Night Crew is a heart-pounding supernatural thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
After the brutal murder of his wife, Michael White is thrust into a world of unimaginable horrors. With no help from the local authorities, he embarks on a personal investigation that uncovers a chilling truth—vampires are real.
When he confronts his wife’s killer, he discovers the true nature of the monster who tore apart his life—a bloodthirsty vampire who has already claimed countless victims. On the brink of becoming the undead himself, Michael is saved by a team of vampire hunters known as The Night Crew. They offer him a chance at revenge and a shot at redemption.
Teaming up with these skilled hunters, Michael must navigate a dark, dangerous world filled with vampires and other supernatural creatures. But the road to vengeance is fraught with peril, and Michael’s humanity is at risk as he battles to destroy the creature that killed his wife.
Will Michael be able to seek vengeance against the vampire that shattered his life while retaining his own humanity, or will he succumb to the darkness that threatens to consume him?

THE NIGHT CREW II: BLOODLUST
By Brad Ricks
"Well, this is where the lore gets a little dicey. Unlike vampires, a succubus can't create other succubi. They were created by a demon named Samael. Now, he's an interesting character. In some writings, he was the angel who tempted Adam and Eve. Think of him as a precursor to Satan. Some say he was an archangel."
I was really excited when I was offered an arc of the newest NIGHT CREW book by Brad Ricks. I loved the first one, so I had really high hopes for this new one. And Ricks did NOT disappoint. It was actually better than I imagined. We have a lot of the same characters from the first and meet some new ones in this newest book. I love how it’s set in New Orleans; it really brings a new vibe to the book. And I really love how this one introduces a succubus!
This is another heart-pounding story full of action, and yet again, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what was going to happen next. I would actually really love to see these books turned into a TV series because they're just that type of storyline. Just as with the first book, I am finding it challenging to craft a proper review that does this book the justice it deserves.
I highly recommend this to all horror readers. I definitely recommend reading the first one before you read this one, so you’re caught up on the backstory of the characters and what they’ve been through, etc. This book will be available on 11/14 but can be preordered now using the link below.
SYNOPSIS:
The hunt never ends—especially when the prey hunts back.
The Night Crew thought they’d seen it all—werewolves, vampires, and things too monstrous to name. But after barely surviving their last mission, Michael and his team are about to face something far deadlier: a supernatural killer with an insatiable thirst for blood and a plan to unleash chaos on New Orleans.
In the city’s neon glow, shadows twist with ancient hunger, and every lead draws the Crew deeper into a labyrinth of murder, betrayal, and forbidden magic. This time, the enemy isn’t hiding in the dark—they’re walking boldly among the living, leaving a trail of corpses in their wake.
As the Night Crew fights to stop the bloodshed, they also confront their own inner demons: haunting memories, deadly secrets, and the chilling realization that some monsters aren’t born—they’re made.
Perfect for fans of urban fantasy, paranormal thrillers, and supernatural horror, The Night Crew: Bloodlust delivers pulse-pounding suspense, monstrous action, and a dark, gripping adventure you won’t forget.

THE ANTIBIBLE
By REEKFEEL
“And it all comes back. The flood, the internal sparrows. All you have to do, and for HIM. Has he been using you? Playing you the fool? And you are a fool. You resent yourself.”
THIS BOOK. THIS BOOK IS WILD! I have become a fan of REEKFEEL over the course of this year, but THE ANTIBIBLE just made the author and auto-buy for me. I am not even sure how to describe this book, or anything about it. It is so weird… and I mean that in the best way possible. If anyone could take this idea and curate it perfectly, it’s REEKFEEL, and that’s exactly what they did.
The writing style is beyond incredible. Prose? Top tier. It also goes into what feels like a second person point of view, which is something I rarely see around here, but is also something I am obsessed with when it is done well. I loved how it’s the scripture of the Devil. I love how it goes through all the signs of the zodiac. I love how it goes through all the plagues. There isn’t anything about this book that I do not love. It’s poetic and philosophical and probably the most uniquely written book I have read this year, if not longer. I cannot recommend this book enough. I am also thrilled that for the first time, one of REEKFEEL’S books will be available in print.
Normally, I only choose one quote from a book to start my reviews with, but there were a few that I couldn’t choose between, so I’m going to leave you with a few below. Also, this book releases on Godless 11/7 and then on Amazon 11/21 and can be preordered using the link below.
- “The twelve signs of LIFE – zodiacal spinning-bound, the solar cycle. But no. No. The woundbloom rising. It continues. A new eon. A passing away. A night-time envy. No. But it continues.”
- “You lie half-buried in your grave. Your flesh open to your death stab. And away. And away. He shows us the way. A new way. A new beginning.”
- “But still. But still. The cries of his work. He is a Flesh Artisan. He has crafted you, brought all his skill to the new sculpture of your corpse.”
- “You lie in the field, but he holds you. And you feel the red in your brains, or mind, or soul, or thinking apparatus. You think, you believe, and a host of tiny foetuses dance upon your remains. Your wound has been unmade. You have been unfucked.”
- “You are starting to enjoy it. It is their suffering you laugh at. You can but only laugh. Their greed, their folly and idiocy. Haha. It is a blessing. You come as a blessing to put them out of their misery. The Malzethites.”
- “Killing is not enough. Maiming is not enough. It must be the complete submission of the soul and heart of your enemy.”
