Welcome to Latham's Last Words, where I give you my last words on books I've enjoyed. It's Black History Month so it's the perfect time to talk about The Dating App Horrors Series. All written by Black female horror authors. I haven't read the entire series, but they are for sure on my TBR!
The Perfect Profile by Toni Larue
Intense read! The characters are so real you think they're sitting next to you. Complex people, each with their own struggles.
I was expecting your typical mysterious killer, but this story spells out all out for you and I think that is what makes it a thrilling read.
A line that stuck out to me, a line that should make every woman think in a situation of meeting a date from online.
"Don't ever trust a man that makes you drink alone."

Anything For Angel by Kenya Moss-Dyme
Another awesome installment in this series! I thought I might have figured out the twist, but I was wrong. The twist was even better than I thought. The author did a fantastic job of showing the villain as a victim and the victim as a villain. I hope that makes sense, if not read this book and you'll see what I mean.
Even though this is part of a series, this book can be read as a stand alone like the others I've read.

Something About Kera by Octavia Grant
This installment of the Dating App Horrors series was definitely more on the erotic psychological horror side. Well paced story and perfect characters. Trent did get on my nerves but I came to understand why he was the way he was.
Very excited to continue this series!
