Today's breakdown is for "Lost Minds, Wandering Souls Volume 6":

This collection opened up with a tale about a terrible relic with unpleasant consequences. The second story I think presents some of George's best writing as he puts forth some very humanly thoughts about the well-being of women.

There were a few passages in that one that I could pull out and quote because they resonated with me and/or about the state of society. The third story was unique in its own way, but I felt a little wordy at times for me for such a simplistic plot. I felt most of these stories focused too much on characterization and I found myself wanting a little more expansion in parts of the plots.

One thing about this collection I noticed was every main character in the first three had made it a point to speak on getting laid, classic Adamczyk fingerprint there, so when I got to the fourth one I didn't expect the abrupt turn it took but was glad for it. The ending for that one made me smirk. This assortment ends on a holiday note and I have to say that I had the most fun with the last one. Definitely not what I was expecting and I'm always for the unexpected in literature.

4/5 stars.
