Today's breakdown is for the audiobook of "In The Tall World" by Angel Van Atta:
Evil step-parents are something that I can relate to on a few levels and this one certainly had a character that pretty much fit that bill. I found myself pissed off at lot, then on the edge of my seat as the ending grew closer and I embraced for the worst. I was able to guess the outcome, but honestly any other resolution would have made me dislike this book and would have made me rate it lower, if at all. You never know what to expect in Horror, but I think you'll find this one satisfying. Also stick around for Van Atta's afterword as it gives a little insight on how her past helped influenced these books. Glad that she was able to overcome and that it helped spawn her two tales.
The audio portion was narrated by Laura Greaves who nailed this one as expected. She suits the story so well.
