Today's breakdown is for "Jurassic Park" by Michael Crichton:
A main intro to my love of Horror, I first read this book around the age of 13 and it altered my life. I still think that it ranks among the most terrifying novels ever written. Not enough good things can be said about the late Michael Crichton, he is a true genius with one foot in science fact and one in horror reality! JP is still one of my top reads of all time, probably THE top one, and rightfully so as it offers so much more than the movies. How Nedry ends up has always stuck with me and really helped solidify my fascination with gore. It is so dark and entertaining throughout, I'm not suggesting it be read by everyone in the world, I am saying this is mandatory reading and anyone in the world would benefit from its experience - I can say from my own that there's nothing scarier than a nightmare inspired by this book.
