Today's breakdown is for the audiobook "The Rest Stop" by Eric Butler:
This short story packs that EB punch that I have come to expect from him by now. Brutally violent and scarily realistic, this one is one of my favorites from what I've read of his catalog (so far). The pacing was good and the intensity kept up until that classic Butler ending roundhoused me right in the jaw. You'll never pass or consider a rest stop in the same way again.
4/5 stars.

Second breakdown of the day is for the audiobook of "The Grove" by Eric Butler:
Part revenge story, part supernatural slasher, if you like sex and/or death then you will like this one. Hard to say much more about the plot without giving it away, fans of Butler's work should like it well enough. I would have liked to know more about The Grove itself and maybe seen some background context added in about its power origin or lore.
3/5 stars.

The audio portions were narrated by Micah Cottingham who has become the only correct answer for whom should be narrating Eric's works.
