Today's breakdown of the day is for "The Lost World" by Michael Crichton:

I first read Jurassic Park 25 years ago and it changed my life. Last year, I read the sequel and it was well worth the waiting period. If you read a book from Crichton, I'm pretty sure you automatically gain IQ points. Like the first book, this one is packed with Scientific facts and more great theories about life and extinction from Ian Malcolm. I was very compelled by his speech while his wound got cleaned out, pay close attention to his words and know that I fully agree with it and many ideas that he presents in this book. I wasn't sure the sequel would live up to the original, but it did. While the first focused mainly on the carnivores, this one presented a lot more herbivore animals which was a really great detail that let us see more insights in to how they live as an overall species. I really enjoyed the different approaches that this one took. Loved the dinosaur breeds presented that JP didn't have. After two and half decades of feeling for the right moment to see what it offered, I have experienced The Lost World and couldn't be more satisfied.
