THE DRYAD OF DUELING OAKS

By: Rowland Bercy Jr

One thing I've learned from reading Bercy's works over the last few years, is that he's very adept at combining a thoroughly entertaining story with grotesque imagery. That's the mark of a great extreme horror author.

Another thing Bercy is good at is writing revenge stories, which that's what this is. A revenge story that combines folklore, the author's love of New Orleans and his own special, and twisted, scenes of carnage. The ways in which the dryad enacted the revenge I will never forget, especially Kaio's. Yikes!

If you want to read some folk horror that will delight and disgust you, that will enrich you with small bits of history and will make you think twice before cutting down a tree, read this book.
